The Bachelor of Science degree program in nursing (BSN) has a management and leadership focus and provides opportunities for students to explore various topics in healthcare management, including case management, managed health care and healthcare business management. Breckinridge School of Nursing is committed to helping you develop skills that can help you realize your goals.


The BSN program at the Breckinridge School of Nursing includes the following nursing courses, among others:

  • Community Health and Epidemiology
  • Essentials of Accounting and Budgeting in Health Care Organizations

  • Health Care Business and Case Management in Practice
  • Transcultural Nursing


Courses are offered year round. Courses are either 6 weeks or 12 weeks long and are 100% online. All of your books and course materials are included with your tuition. The program has a single precepted clinical component in the final quarter of the program that can be conducted at many types of healthcare facilities, possibly even where you work. This gives you time to identify a preceptor and health care facility for the clinical component.

I understand I must have the following to be considered for admission into the BSN program:
  1. an associate degree in nursing awarded by an educational institution located (A) in the U.S. that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or (B) outside the U.S. that is accredited or similarly acknowledged by an agency deemed acceptable in the school's discretion, and
  2. active unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse current or must be obtained within the first quarter of the program.
